This all depends on what you're in it for: to have fun or be competitive. Even though it's possible to do both in either car, the 180 would be the cheaper option in the long run. Due to a few things like their weight disadvantage over the 180, R33s are naturally less competitive, but with the right mods they can be made work in competition, one won the amateur championship last year. The lads are probably right when they say that Skyline is less work than an S chassis, but thats only cos things happen slightly slower. Every time my car improves it's not the nicest to drive until my brain catches up with it. The more competitive the car is the more grippy it is and therefore the more snappy it tends to be as a general rule. Also the Skyline might be very big power but power delivery is probably more important than outright power. It sounds like you want to go with the 33 so like the boys said why not stick a diff in it and take it to a practice day and see how ye get on?
