    Default rb25det into a lhd s13?

    one of the lads is putting an rb25 into his lhd s13 and he was wondering will there be any issues?? like steer rack or what ever being in the way anyone got any info on this??

    Ask Bart and Yowdy.
    They put an Rb25 into Damo's sil80 (RHD) but I'm sure they could help

    Yes afaik some fabricaion/guntering will be needed to get the exhaust setup to clear the steering column.
    Loads of info out there, most of the s13 rb swap guides are on american lhds.

    ok next question
    what do i need to do the swap ?
    from ca18det to rb25det? well more what do i need on the wiring side? can i use some of the old loom or have to use the whole skyline loom?

    you can buy a conversion harness that solves all wireing issues.
    r33 subframe saves alot of work as it lines everything up perfect.
    as for whats needed, engine, box, ecu, front half of skyline prop or just get a single piece prop made up.

    its a stright bolt in.skyline cradle gtr engine mounts,sterring pump,bottle,
    an pipes from skyline.front pipe is handy if uv got a welder an grinder.
    u need 2 joint the 2 looms 2gether. if u need full run down pm me.
    we just done a full converson on one few weeks ago

    GTR mounts sit the gear box that little bit too far back and you either have to extend gear linkage or get used to the gear stick that little further back.
    1 foot of loom harness is £80 or mess around with the wires.
    with a R33 subframe any S13 exhaust lines up perfect

    it all just depend how much work you want to do
