    Default 180sx steering lock???

    right lads just looking at the lock it my 180sx thr i fitted extra lock tie rods 2 it last week got it tracked all spot on but wen i turn to the right i hve just over 1.5 turns, and wen i lock to the left i get close to 2 turns lock..

    wat would i wana b looking at to solve this?

    who ever tracked it didnt do a very good job, the steering rack wasnt centered.

    It sounds like the steering rack wasnt centred properly when it was been tracked. To correct this you will have to track the car again with the rack in its central point of movement so you get equal lock on each side.

    wen he was tracking it he had the steering wheel locked in the straight ahead position with the wheel clamp it was like this wen i bought the car also

    that dont mean it was centred there are 2 marks right down on the rack ya have to do it from under the car line them up and then lock the steering in place ya prob have to take ur wheel of and centre that then

    screw your track rod ends in full and then take each one out the same number of turns until shes line up.
