Some silly questions since I'm now deeply preparing my "daily" life in Dublin...

I am looking for an accomodation but prices inside Dublin are a "bit" high. I am looking for a 2 bedrooms + garage to be able to park/work on a drift car inside. I think the daily car can be outside... But I find almost no accomodation with garage ! (I am looking on daft.ie)

I will be working near a DART station so I think I can use DART to go from home to work. But even when I look inside areas like Dun Loaghaire, or Kilbarrack which are also near DART stations, it's hard to find something that suits me... Maybe I'm just not looking in the right areas ? Any tips to find a great home ?

And btw, how much does a DART subscription cost monthly ?

Dart isnt that expensive, its about 5 euro return for my journey from bray to dublin, you wont get much more expensive than that per journey.

Dun laoighre is expensive! its posh dublin. you could go further south, search bray , shankill, greystones etc on southside of dublin, its also where the driftireland hq is!

look on www.daft.ie and www.rent.ie , there both good for accomodation!

Still a few days before I arrive in Ireland

Could you please explain me the difference between VRT and Motortax ?

I think VRT is when you first register a car (for a new car OR an import), and Motortax is what you need to pay each year for being allowed to drive your car and depends on engine size (pre-2008) or CO2 (2008+).

Am I right ?

It looks very expensive to have a car with a serious engine...
Will need to buy an RX-7 so it's cheap considering 1.3 liters

no i dont think so, tax for commercial vehicles is different.... we are fucked in ireland with everything so best get used to bein screwed
