But when I finally got the car started today the clock had reset, so now im not so sure?

You can fire my battery into it tomorrow night and see what happens. Actually, pull out that big 40 amp fuse for your sound system because it's probably wired arseways and draining your battery, which would explain why the car is harder to start the longer it isn't driven.

Check the earths on the coil packs, i had a problem with the R32 she wud start 1 time & not the next & it was down to a bad earth. worth a try atleast...
