    Default Sierra xe

ive had this a while now so i suppose its about time i started a project thread,
ive only a few pics of the work so far but ive plenty more to do and ill keep it updated from here on

it started off as a standard twin cam with a f**ked engine

    spec now is

2.0l vauxhall red top, camed + chipped with ARP bolts and acl race bearings

tran-x 5 speed straight cut box

adj track control arms, compression struts and some old springs out of a hot rod

perspex windows and as much weight as possible cut out of it

and the most important bit....a welded diff

    making a bit of space

    and ready to go

    in action

spiggot bearing went the last day out so the gearbox is out at the min, just waiting on a new on so i should have another update soon

As alan said, i done the very same a few years back. Red saph cossie rep, cam'd xe on 45s I used it in one of the very early rounds of d1 drift IRL, in rosegreen, around 2004. she made top 8 Back then everyone competed in roadcars, no rollcages, just a helmet! simple times
Engine eventually found its way into a mk2 escort roadcar, and the saph got a 2.9 24v cossie engine fitted
