    Default R32 Skyline Wheel size

    Hi guys

Just a quick q regarding the best size wheels to put on an R32 for drifting.

She's running stock power so the 18's on her at the moment are a little big when sliding in the dry

Was thinking of buying a nice set of 15 or 16'' for her - won't look as good as the 18's but at least will slide a bit better

Anyone here using 15's or 16's or have any experiance drifting with 18's?

    Any help appreciated

Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most

Shouldn't really be a problem lad.....! Bit of dancing on the clutch and she'l slide no bother........! 15 or 16's are too small imo....! Iv driven stock skylines with new grippy 17s and it'l drift all day.....!

larry i used to run 16s with stock power and she could really light them up,even with 17s she was grand just put decent pressure in them and she will smoke em up all day

If you think you can,or you think you can't,your probably right!

I had 17,s x 9's on the back over at tullow on my first go and with kuhmo tyres and she fly around but I pit the 16's on to make it easier... Was talking to dan Moorhead and he said keep the 16's on until I get better and then I'll be well able for the 17's but my liner broke traction easy

Yeah i was told when buying the car there was a 2-way in her but from driving it i think its welded, so she kicks out for sport. Need to get her on track i suppose to give her a good test

Thanks for all the help lads

For starting off get 16's so there is still a bit of grip, but not too much. That way your drift speeds won't be too high to start off with and once you get the hang of 16's and feel confident, throw some 17's on. Progress slowly, like.

Ah well i competed in the Irish D1 (as it was called at the time) for two years so not new to drifting, and on the 200sx i was running i had 17'' all round on her so well used to throwing her out on the bigger wheels, but the wheels on the skyline at the mo are 9 or 9.5J x 18 so just thought i might be better off on something smaller or thinner

    Thanks for the feedback guys
