tapping noise!!

hows things does any 1 knw...wen i start my s14 ders a tapping noise nd wen i select gear nd let d clutch out it stops and dats it doesnt do it again till u knock d car off???

the vvt sprocket is on it's way out

you would have to get a sprocket and get some one to fit it because it is ran off the timeing chain dont go new unless you want to fork out 900 notes for one

Nothing to worry about it's only the vvt , causes no damage to the engine so No need to change unless the tapping annoys you.

sound..it dosnt annoy me dat much so...it must be common becaucause my last sr20 done d same thing..nd iv always wunderd wat it was..

i think they knock as soon as mr. nissan built & sold them never heard a vvt sr with no rattle, just turn up the radio & it goes away
