cool, love how this is shaping up!
So after a full week of arsing about trying to get the car started it turns out I was missing an earth on the alternator (DOH)
Got the Exhaust on, Prop shaft in correctly and started her up!
Excuse the horrible quality, 3G iPhone with a free app which allows 10 second recording.
YouTube - Nissan 200sx S13 SR20 first start
Now to sort the brakes out when they arrive, and I can take her for a test drive
Cheers, Dylan.
looking good lad glad to see someone only round the corner from me building a lovely looking s13![]()
Had a busy week, car is now running sweet, all electrics and gauges seem to work fine so my wiring skillz must not have been to bad lol
Sorted out a bracket to hold the intercooler nice and secure.
Engine bay still needs a clean up.
Now this is the part I was rather scared about, cutting the rear arches for the over fender fitting, ended up being pretty painless and took me and my dad about an hour to do both sides! Just used a small grinder with some stainless steel blades!
Also turns out the car must have had a bash at the passenger rear quarter as there was isapon flying everywhere when we took the grinder to it lol whoever fixed it done a fantastic job as you would never have known the car was hit to look at it.
Marking out the cut line..
Dad cutting
Top layer off
Cut the inner skin to bend out
Also the driver side which was a tidier job than the passenger once we got on the ball with it!
My uncle is bringing his welder over on Tuesday or Wednesday so I can sort out getting them welded up and clean!
More updates coming very soon.
Dylan.
lookin good man them wheels are sweet
Savage build man, fair play on getting stuck in![]()
After a long 4 days getting stuff right I am finally starting to see some sexiness in the car!
Me and my Dad have been flat out trying to get **** fitting fiberglass panels to fit in any way normal, we spent almost 6 hours on the front wings and around 4 on the rear bumper alone! A lot of re drilling and moving to make them half right, we are pretty much the best we can be with fitment, just need to pull the front passenger side wing out very slightly at the front to make the bonnet line even!
Anyway, started by painting all the underside of the panels or anything that would overlap, just to leave a cleaner job on the whole thing..
Rear arches after being welded, glassed and painted
fitted the front wings first
Rear quarters with bumper test (Also stuck the koukis in for show :P )
Then at 12pm tonight finally got the bumper secured correctly
Need to fit the sideskirts tomorrow and collect my front bumper on Tuesday! then its off to paint on Thursday! Mega excited!
More pictures to come when it is all built up and ready to roll!
Lookin good mate. Its Gettin there now! Should look savage when its finished!
