Project Jap AE86

Well Folks,

Firstly this is my first ever project car so go easy on me when I am looking for answers of stupid questions . I have been wheeling an dealing in cars for ages now and have had most jap imports out there really. I have always been an AE86 head at heart so I was on the look out for a good base to start off with for a while now. Money is tight at the mo so most of the jobs I will be doing will be sponsered by the dole an what ever money I can muster up. The only real money I would be willing to spend on would be wheels for now. Will post full spec when I get time to think of everything. So here it goes..........

As I bought the car ..

I then Removed Skirts, Front Mud Flaps, and Front grill........








Tomorow I will be removing front & Back Bumpers , Preping for paint and spraying them matt black. Pics to follow....

I removed front and rear bumpers prep'd and painted them and I am delighted with the out come.










Removed bonnet to leave squeeky clean and started to de-grease the engine bay.... have a fairly trick idea for that aswel but will show ye later when I see how it turns out.





Material....




Next up is an oil change (diff&engine), plugs filters etc, sort out ride height and I think I will go with 20mm spacers for now until I source my new wheels. Will keep thread up dated as I go along!

Ordered some bride material to pimp interior out , have to get my custom exhaust made up, get a cross section for rear cage, The main thing is a new set of shoes and sort out ride height and stance..........

I dont mind paying decent money for the right wheels but its even hard to find them when they are expensive never mind cheap haha. I am considering a set of Custom Image wheels ta fuck. They are pricey but I am only goin to be buyin them once and I want them to be the shizzle . Looking at 14x8-5jj -20 or so Not in a mad rush so might wait an see could I get my hands on some ssr's first. I have a load of other jobs that I want to get done. I plan to leave it exactly as I want it. Manual steerin is annoyin me at the moment. i know it gets better reviews than p/s its just annoyin me at the mo but I will get used to it haha.....
