Turbo Timers

Ok the Silvia has a turbo timer, and when i switch it on and turn off the car it all but stalls it then makes it idle weirdly, like its trying to get it to tickover at like 500rpm or something so it ends up hunting.

Can anything be done with it or would it just be a knackered TT?

Turbo timers are a waste of time, whip it out and sell it to a muppet for loads of money.
