Personally I'd just rebuild. I mean you'd probably rebuild it twice and still have change left over compared to the price of these conversions. If it goes, rebuild it with some street porting or bridgeport, or even peripheral porting, depending on what you can live with, and a bit of work here and there and you'll easily hit the 400 or even 500 mark. Very easy to get power out of a rotary. Theres ppl running crazy power (600-700bhp) on them with out even as far as I remember touching the internals lol. Plus there will be no better sound and it keeps the balance, weight etc how its ment to be.

No offence to James, and I know its the engine he knows and reliability etc etc, but a SR20 in a RX7 makes me sick personally tbh. Sorry but just my opinion. Of your options if you had to go away from rotary power then I'd definately go the V8 route.

Well the 7 is single turbo although only running standard injectors... I could upgrate injectors to 1600cc, pump, fuel rail etc, then over to UK for a map which will see 400hp. This unfortunately will cost €1500+ euro and reduce the already shite life of the rotary engine. If engine goes soon after running 400 hp, it's a rebuild (€3k +) and other trip over to uk after run in milage has been complete... another few hundred euro.... All this could amount to €5k +

This is why I'm strongly considering a conversion....

None taken man, I dont care what engine I have once its reliable and the car slides

Ya my car is BC 2.2 stroked SR22, we did all the convirsion ourselves @ DeaneMsport (Mike Deane, Ken Deane, Papa Deane and Myself) Its pushing a very realible 460BHP, can get much more out of it but shes realible.. Sr engine, RB25 box, costom wireing loom, omex ecu.

I am a big rotary fan, but at the time of building my car (which had no engine) it was easier to stick with what we are used to..Shes working away fine. Dont think 6cyl is the right way to go...weight will upset the good balance of the FD's

    Cheers for reply J.D.
Do you have a website/ contact no. that I can get in touch with to discuss. Price may put me off but very interested in a conversion. Knowing you/ 'The Deanes' have done a SR into a 7 is comforting..
