    Exclamation sr2odet timing marks

    well lads i have a blacktop non vvt engine and was just settin up new timing chain i know about the 2 black links for the cam wheel and the gold link for the crank and i know about lining up the cas is there anything else i've to look out for......... any info greatfully appreciated

    Keep tension on the chain and dont let it slip on the crank sproket other than that its straight forward

    thanks for reply lads and with reference to my timing marks my inlet cam is pointing to ten o clock and my exhaust cam is pointing to 1 o clock and piston number one is at TDC..........where should my bottom pully wheel be at i think it second notch from left..... is the above right??

    the crank should link should be at 5 o clock

    the pin on timin chain cover wit the 2nd marks from the left on crank pulley??ya that'll line up like that if its rite.

    It should be exactly as above. Have you removed the oil pump collar from in front of the bottom pulley?

    ah if the cams an crank are lined up your sorted dude jus lump the cas back in rite an double check the timin
