    Default Welding a diff

    Pulled a standered diff out of my mates s14 tonight to weld it up.......... Never did one before so im not sure where to weld it exactly......... Any pics of info on where to weld it would be great............! Thanks..........!

    Weld the planet gears to the sun gears.

    boom!
    some people also weld the gears then to the housing, to give it more strength.

    The diff i opened up don't really look like that......... Can ya weld any standered diff........!

    standard nissan viscous diffs dont look like that man. is yours viscous?

    it could be........! mines not open like that theres loads of holes its not open like the one in the pic........!

    sounds like a a viscous so,
    not sure about welding it though, i've only seen open ones done.
