    no matter what drift event that is/was ever on there is always people complaning,be it prodrift,d-rift or even the di days.you can be assured that the day after the event there will be people whinging about judging, parking, prices, the burgers you name it.

    the fact is that the majority of drivers and spectators really enjoy the prodrift events and i for one am dam happy that there is a drift event here to compete in.
    the price for entering is peanuts in comparison to rallying or circuit events so that is not an argument at all really.€100 for a competing on brilliant tracks, well organised and well suppored by drivers and sponsors is a steal.

    regarding the concrete walls if your afraid of them dont go near them!!its drifting not a pillow fight with cars.most drivers will tell you that once you set off from the start line you dont even think about walls, all you are worried about is your line and clipping points and trying not to spin!

    as for judging is a thankless job as no matter what decision you make its going to upset somebody. In different peoples eyes different things will impress them more but may not necessiarly what the judges outline what they want to see as it varies from event to event so cut them a bit of slack.

    thanks all i have to say except roll on round two and before anyone has a go i have no links to prodrift or any other series.im just a clubman drifter so to speak
    About the only post on here i totally agree with you have it band on in 1 lad.
    As for the 100 euro entry its not bad like its 150 to go to mondello practice day and drifting throught the hole in the hedge you meet a car driving towards you with about 20 - 25 cars on the track and in fairness to prodrift i was always giving out about the seat time drivers got but on saturday we got loads.

    I havent got the time to read the whole thread but I will put my views up;

    I went to watch on Sunday and out of all the Drifting I have been to over the years both spectating and driving (and thats quite alot), I thought that it was the most boring I have ever been to and €20 was too much to charge to get in for what was on offer.

    I didnt think any of the drivers were up to there usual quality of driving and that MASSIVE gap between super lap and top 16 was horrendous with nothing to do but watch some people being taken for spins.

    On the judging I thought it was very poor. For example in the superlap one judge scoring a driver 4 and another judge scoring him 8 was rediculous. I really think there should be more qualified judges as I thought a couple of the decisions were very dubious.

    I hope Prodrift can up there game as they have all the ingredients to make a fantastic series which I can once again attened and be blown away by whats on show.

    Edit: Although I did hear Saturday was rocking and James Deane WAS on top form!

    Jesus lads my heads melted after reading all these comments haha..

    People are always going to complain about events, and in this case the same few have been doing the whinging, but fair enough everyone is entitled to an opinion. However unless ye are going to be constructive about it then just quit it. Its not fair to be attacking people, getting abusive and so on.

    All the points about bringing in Judges are fair too but no doubt WHOEVER was brought in would be slaughtered in exactly the same way. Judges make decisions, some ppl will support them, others wont. Its always been that way and no matter who is judging it wont change.

    Great weekend, unreal weather and some pretty promising displays of whats to come for the rest of the series...

    Roll on Round 2 and the fun in Punchestown.... can't wait

    Couldn't be bothered reading through the that whole thread. I really enjoyed last week, great weather, had a great laugh with the lads and some really good quality drifting. The only problem I had was the Judging, I normally didn't mind the judging at all the other events sometimes they are hard to call but last week took the piss abit.
