overheating sr20

Hi, i am just wondering if anybody has had the same probliems as i had in mondello saturday it was the first time out in my 180 with a blacktop engine with original fans and all i had a look at a few other cars there they had the same set up but i left my heater matrix and pipes out because i was in a rush to get it ready. would this make a big difference to the cooling system? it only started overheating after 2 or 3 lapsi even took the thermostat out i taught it might have been stuck but it was ok. Any help would be great thanks.

Andy most SR's or any other lads would run with the heater on full, a bigger alloy rad 25mm or 50mm decent coolant, front bumper off on a day like yesturday with the heat or even bumper and bonnet off, twin fans help aswell...

get coolant and a big rad.....
was out there myself yesterday and was very hard on the car....

yeh i think a bigger rad with twin fans would be the job for it alright had coolant in and bumper and bonnet off yous prob seen me in the yellow 180 with the tein man in the back window sorry if i was in the way waiting for it too cool down .anybody know where i would get a big rad with twin fans and what kinda money they are?

the day that was in it hard to keep a car cool. i had the same prob. i had to take off bonet and had 3 fans.

won'nt help with out the heater rad in it and bigger rad.

did anyone not have this prob?? how did they keep it cool??
