    Talking Danni's new S14 for 2010

Well after getting my feature on Speedhunters, the work can be brought out now!

Speedhunters: DRIVER FEATURE>>DANNI MURPHY - Speedhunters

And some nice pics thanks to Daniel on here...

Motormavens: COVERAGE> JDM Allstars at Silverstone! – MotorMavens

The car previously owned by Top Garage in Japland somewhere, it was a demo car along with an identical S15. It came with an impressive spec list, especially compared to my old 180sx, so basics and foundation got, my own adjustments were/are needed to get it to spec.

After previously picking this car up from the docks in Dublin for WKD Imports (Wez) when it first landed i Ireland, i wanted it!
Competed at Donny (Super Series) and didnt get very far, down went the engine.

Replacement engine along with a power fc were fitted, re-mapped and ready for me to collect.

First thing changed was the rear brakes, out went the S14 and in came the R33 rear set up along with the hydro i had in my 180.
Then the colour coded cam cover was to be swapped over, along with some other bits.

Got car to the UK for some brief testing prior to JDM licence day, as there were no other dates that suited, along with the pics taken for Speedhunters, thanks to Ross...

Then came the bit where the car got raped :smash:
Pics of before cage in other camera, so imagine no metal for a minute! :euge:

Mountains of wires, windscreen and 2 rear 1/4 glass also removed and road trip to Cambridge to Fabricage, one of my sponsors for the year made a mega impressive job on the cage for me

After a mega panic and worry if id have the car ready on time for the JDM licence day, i picked it up like this fri morning from Pete's (Fabricage), rushed back to Aylesbury to get the windscreen and windows re-fitted...
(Hopefully thats the only time it'll ever need to be winched on and off the truck!)

So 3.30pm i arrived back at Pauls workshop, although still working, we (Paul, Alan, Matt & me) started work on the car just after 5pm...
Figuring wires took most of the time.... Spaghetti junction

Then came my old ratty seat (as my new one is in Ireland) along with harness...

Alan kept us entertained with hie "elephant" :smash:

Stress over at approx 10.30pm after putting the car back together went relatively smooth.... dont speak too soon:wack:

En route to Pauls from the garage, truck loses all power on the road (batt lead came off!) got bak to Pauls... 11.30pm, to hear a hissing, nice big bolt in the front tyre, no spare. 2am we arrive into bed after locating a spare rim with tyre, a jack and some tools (thanks Garage-D!) 6am start to change the wheel on truck and head for Silverstone where the only downfall was lack of front rubber with lack of time, and running low on fuel the last few laps:wack:

Arrived at Silverstone to lovely weather....

Massive thanks to Fabricage for the quality of their work, im proper impressed along with anyone else whos seen it

Still got a good few bits to do before the 1st round:

*Get new seat over from Ireland
    *Spray inside and cage
*Swap internals of diff (4.1 in the car) got a 2nd 4.3 for certain tracks, going to weld the 4.1 and 2-way te 4.3
    *Replace some clamps
*Fit some more engine mods + re-map
*Invest in some proper front tyres
    * Change all fluids and oils thanks to Miller Oils, also sponsoring me for the year
*Fit safety equipment, and buy a plumb in extinguisher
    *Fit stickers
    *Get a 2nd harness
    *New custome spoiler stands

Loads loads more small but time consuming bit to be done, let the fun continue!

Well theres 2 screws more than what held in the dash in the 180!
Yea was panic and stress last week but thankfully nothing went wrong, until it came to the puncture in the truck.

The cage im really happy with, i wasn't expecting as good! Proper good and tight in the important parts, its going to be a bitch to paint!

Hoping to make fermoy now for round one of PD
