    Default JZX100 emanage HELP URGENT

    Lads,

Need some help from people familiar with JZX100's and emanage ultimate (map sensor version). Would be no bother if it was an old good s13 but oh well.

I'm going to London on sat morning to collect my Mark2 JZX100. I paid all plane tickets, ferries, bought sterling etc only to get a following message today:

"Just to let you know - I have started and driven the car this evening. Unfortunately since the battery was flat it looks like the ECU needs a proper reset. Due to time and London traffic I wasn't able to do this properly. What this means is that the car stalls at idle quite often (i.e. when slowing down to a stop) and mis-fires quite a bit under 2K RPM - the misfire seemed to go away after around 20 mins but I couldn't be certain. It certainly isn't undrivable and should get you home. The E-Manage map needs minor adjustment so that the car behaves itself in traffic - appears to be ok at WOT."

The car is a 2.5 vvti, has a HKS GT3037 turbo, Sard 530's, emanage ultimate, MAP sensor.

Any help/advice would be highly appreciated as I'm not sure wheter to cut losses and leave it or go to collect it .

    Any ideas on this?

    Thanks

    Arnie.

i wouldn drive it definatly! Batt going dead should not affect the map, you will probably have to get the engine rebuilt by the time you get home or if you get home! Be a no no for me.

    Thanks lads,

I'm waiting now for an email from Steve Sadler@FCtuning (he's London based), hopefully he could sort me out as he can map virtually everything.

If I go there I'll defo take comp tester and few sockets.

SIMO, why the hell did you come in your jzx90 so I can't sleep now

Hey arnie your going 4 door pimpness now!!!good stuff. Hpe my yoke was a inspiration!! have ou pics of the new motor? mite see it when i pic the 200 up if you get it.
The ECU is on learning mode i suspect its resetting itself after the jump start!!If you get the owner to stay driving it for a while it should clear up and get back to normal its very similar thing to what happens to the rx7s when yo jump it. I think he is telling the truth but get him to drive it for a while b4you go over to seedoes it clear up!!!

Yes, that one, albeit I won it on ebay for £4700. From item description:

"It is taxed and MOT'ed and is ready to drive away"

    Then 2 days before collection:

"Car stalls at junctions, doesn't hold the idle, but it's good on WOT"

I asked Steve Sadler and he said that remap is defo required as it wasn't done right in the first place. It's another £300 for mapping, £75 per hour on dyno and it could be just a start of spending.

I had cars like that in the past and I don't believe sellers like this anymore.

In addition to this, from the looks of things there's no support for chasers in Ireland, prices are through the roof and parts supply is almost non existent.

Going back to good old s-body
