    ive seen jrs 1s there not as tidy as urs but cheap and cheerful and do the job

    Can i just ask do these plates affect the spigot bearing at all the fact that the box is that 5 or 6mm further back from the engine?

    No, the rb box input shaft is a few mm longer than the sr one, also if you fit a new spigot bush with the kit and fit it flush with the end of the crank(stock is about 5mm in) then you will actully have more spigot location than with a stock set up
