r32 oil pressure gauges are known to be faulty mines the exact same mate !

really?? but i have to replace my altenator belt because its screeching like mad, and my battery keeps goin dead. is there any quick way to test an altenator?? just in case!!

man if your belt is slipping it wont be gripping your alt pulley properly,thus resulting in the alt not running at the speed it should, thus resulting in your flat battery, simple!

to close this thread only way to do it is to get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge and hook it up simple clean neat and reliable ! .............bon fuckn jour

you mean the whole time your talking about the oil pressure gauge on the dash??

thats not worth a wank. get a stand alone one on there and just change you belt

Its not the gauge that reads incorrectly on the R32, its the standard oil pressure sensor that goes faulty. Its on the block beside the oil filter housing.

After market ones are cheap enough but don't assume its just the sensor, get the actual engine oil pressure checked to make sure its ok first.

Change or tighten the alternator belt then a simple test can be done to see if the alternator is putting out the correct voltage.
