Default Sr20 hesitant at low revs

So recently I've gotten my ass rolling again with my s14. Sunday I got the opportunity to drive my car and another sr20 powered car back to back. One thing both of us noticed was under 3000rpm my car is a bit hesitant. If you floor it once it comes on boost it pulls away as it should. But if your costing along there seems to be a bit of a lag. I'm ruling out a boost leak as it's fine at high revs, Next I'm gona check my timing and after that the crank sensor. Anyone else have any suggestions for other things to check?

common enough. depends on the type of lag. does it stutter? or just not react? Either way a map will sort it but it could be plugs or igniter. I'd pull out the plugs and see if they're dirty. Maybe change the air filter if that's old. There's always a chance that it's just a bit slow to react as it hasn't been driven much recently.

What's your setup? what turbo, injectors, ecu, etc?

Changed the plugs recently. Non vvt blacktop running standard maf, Injectors and ecu (not sure if the ecu has been mapped or not) gt2560 turbo running standard boost. Have a spare igniter so might give that a go. I replaced the throttle position sensor previously and that helped a bit

if it stutters i would definitely try the igniter. other than that if it's a mappable ECU then get it mapped I'd say
