Thread: my 14 again!

    Thumbs up my 14 again!

    finally got the mad idea out of my head to sell my car and said i was going to keep it, it hasnt seen much road since last day out in mondello in november, said i was going to do abit to it and get a few more bhp outa it but i kinda went mad abit on bits i got but fuck it, its worth it,
    anyway here is how my car looked last time i drove it on the road, 04-01-2010



    plan was engine out, sort few bits that needed to be done like broken engine mount and clutch wasnt 100% in mondello so was going to have a look at that aswell,

    came across a bargin i couldnt leave then,

    set of HKS Step 2 cams 264in and 272ex for €90, these cams only saw 4 events



    still hadnt fitted my z32 afm so got a trust greddy intake pipe and filter to fit it



    a set of HKS valve springs were next in line



    and here the bits i had gathered but the start of the new year,



    NGK's
    Z32 AFM
    HKS cams
    HKS valve springs
    Trust Greddy intake pipe and filter
    Trust Greddy 1.2mm headgasket

    next got a set of rocker arm stoppers



    and a full engine gasket kit



    said id get a set of electric fans aswell seeing as i had the engine out



    problem i had next was what turbo i wanted to use, was mad for a top mount and has all bit sorted bar the turbo and had my Trust turbo sold off but then after all the thinking said i wouldnt bother as i want good street/track response out of the car and i only had one turbo in mind to do the job for me!!

    onto DW next for new braided turbo lines




    and a set of aerocatch pins



    the following week got this box for japan



    what was inside was the new heart

    when engine was out i found out i had a OS GIKEN supersingle clutch and flywheel.
    the clutch disk was badly worn

    so got that sorted





    seeing as one of my engine mounts were bust i got a swt of nismo mounts and gearbox mount





    then i got around to open the new box and get a look at my new baby







    a set of ACL bearings then would do the job the finest



    with a set of oversized forged pistons aswell for good measures







    set the engine of to murphy's engine overhauls to get the block skimmed and cylinders bored to match oversize pistons and get the head skimmed and HKS valve springs put in



    head with the HKS valve springs gone in



    got a SR20DE throttle body aswell so i have everything ready now and hope to have it running but end of the week all going well and then off for mapping on the 13th of march

    trust t518z, was grand, bit laggy tho and wanted a top mount but then decided not too, got the GTRS at a good price also

    did you not know that your not ment to lay anthing on top of the freshly machined surface for fear of marking it which it is

    sold the old one, only have t28B and HKS GTSS here that need builds,

    got the HKS GT-RS for same price as a 2871R, looking forward to having the car mapped and running sweet

    love the car man, fair play for holding on to her

    question - them cams, are they to go with vvt or not? that is really cheap for a set of 2 man
