what the f*** is wrong with my car?

Right first thing is when I started the car in the morning the wipers wouldnt work, in fact NOTHING on that stalk would work (washer jets etc) but thought well fuk it it must just be a fuse gone so I left it, drove the car out to Mullingar an on the way back the Air con came on full blast (and the screen went all red??) for no reason and I couldnt switch it off, then the lights went onto full beam and again couldnt get them off and then the car just switched off and coasted to the side of the road

When I pulled in the rear wiper jet was on the whole time an wouldnt turn off, the headlights wouldnt flip down and the car woudnt start, it'd fire up for a sec when I turned the ignition but then it'd just die again

Anyhow got it lifted off the road and brought to a local crash repairs through my insurance, rang the guy a few days later and he told me he started it up and it sat there idleing for 10min no bother

Went to collect it yesterday, it started first time no bother (aircon still stuck on and no wipers tho) drove about 5 min down the road and same thing as above happened again... (and wierdly when the ignition was off the lights on the aircon were flickering on and off?)

Anyhow any idea wtf is wrong with it?

I had simular problems with my 180 lad!!

There is a part of the wiring loom runs inside the drivers wheels arch and if she is sittin low on the wheels more than lightly its after wearin it away like mine!! i had no wipers or jets or dash lights so maybe try that....?

To be honest sounds like moisture or dampness is after getting at the ecu.Try unplug it,take it into your house for a day or two then re try it,might be no harm putting a de-humidifier into the car over night too.

I was thinkin it was water was gettin in somewhere an messin it up alright...

@Eoin: sound I'll chek that out too

But looks like its not something I can go up an fix easily then.... anyone got a trailer?

fuk knows! had the car over a year and its never missed a beat, and now without any warning EVERYTHING breaks

i had a problem where all my electrics stopped working. as eoin said under the arch the wheel had rubbed away the wires. sounds like there more to it though

i had the misterious arch rubbing once aswel my 180sx was running an fcon and blitz ibc boost controller next thing went for a blast no boost nearly cried had a quick look around heard hissing coming from the rh front wheel..locked the wheel out there was the pipe goin into the boost controler severed was i a happy boy when i found that.also noticed some wires with the coating rubbed off..
