My 1uz 180 build

Hey Guys,
So after joining up here early this year i decided i wanted an s body, decided to build instead of buying, would give me an oppertunity to learn aswell, plus i like rootin and hardship.

Firstly i want to thank all the lads that have helped me out, given me advice, sent me in the right direction, sold me parts etc, theres one lad in particular thats giving me countless freebies (he knows who he his) so a big thank you to everyone that has contributed. Ive met alot of very sound lads wile gathering bits and bobs. Also a big thanks to my other half for having the patience to put up with me been broke the whole time due to this.

Anyway i picked up this 200sx as a base, it was completely standard, had a ca engine with the head gasket gone.




I planned on doing an sr conversion on it and building it upto spec, but then this shell came up for sale and i couldnt resist, it was also cleaner than mine so i picked it up and sold on the 200sx shell. Its been sitting up a wile in the pictures while i collected bits and pieces for it.

Think thats it for now, i actually cant remember but il update it as i go along.

sweet build lad, best of luck with it, those hardrace engine mounts are the job, i have those in my ps13

So picked up a s14a blacktop vvt engine of danny86 on here, set about fitting it using these provided by barrys msport


Got a loom of Seamie at preimer performance cars and had to mate it to a 180 plug.


Engine in with extra wiring in the loom.

Have no pwer(esb) in the car yet as im waiting on a gearbox loom to come from the 180sxbreaker.

Ran the loom down the inside of the engine bay from under the drivers wing.

Anyway started work at this last week, going to try and have it finished for next spring/summer.

Anyway burning out the subframe bushes, pictures of me phone so it aint great.


Subframe primed.


Sprayed up and polybushed.


Put the subframe back together

Had this 5 Stud Conversion that i picked up of Darragh.


I intend on putting all adjustable arms on it, hence the reason for not spraying some of the arms.
