Default Bleeding slave cylinder on ca18det s13

after you lot on here helping me diagnose my dodgy slave cylinder problem, i got a new one in the post today and have just started fitting it.

it's in and all, problem is, i cant seem to bleed it properly so that the clutch pedal has got its pressure back and it is also still not returning.

    Can someone help? lol

How are you trying to bleed it now?

Have you seen the 2 bleed nipples? there is one one the slave cylinder and one on the end of the loop that runs along the chassis rail.
Follow the pipe back from the master cylinder and you'll see it.

It can take a while to get pressure on them, longer then brakes.

Have you checked that you are getting pressure from the master cylinder?

Open the first bleed nipple(on the loop section) and press the pedal, are you getting fluid pressurised from there or just dribbling?

ok just checked there. the fluid is squirting out so i must be getting pressure from the master cylinder.

i noticed that when the pedal was being pumped, it was getting ever so slightly firmer....but still a long long way off what it should be?
i mean, how long shud it normally take to bleed the system?

    thanks

Like I said it can take a good while, if you've got pressure at both bleed points then just keep at it.
