EGR Valve delete and NCT

As title suggests, will deleting the EGR valve from a sr20det have any effect on emissions in the test?

From my understanding it does'nt but i hope someone here can confirm.

nope no effect towards the nct . 95% of sr20's in the country dont have them and all go throught the nct grand ! and my own has gone thru last 3 years with out one !
