Mondello park hold several track days through out the year. There are no 2015 dates as yet posted. Location is centeral to most. Great track and well set up. Pricey but worth it. Other sites hold track days also. i.e. sxoc and other car clubs. Worth checking out. There are also private invite only sessions around the country also only through these clubs.

    lol @ this thread

You couldn't even possibly consider drifting being dead at all, unless you had your ears shut and your eyes closed to miss the amount of quality events/practise days that had happened on this little island this year alone. Percentage wise if we were to consider, Ireland must be close to the top for drift cars owned for a 1000 people let's just say, just to take it from a different perspective.

Feels like you owe an apology to a good few people on here Diarmuid

honestly i'd lay off Diarmuid at this stage. he started this conversation which is a good thing. it took a minor turn but other than that he's not necessarily being negative, but he is provoking a bit of pride in the scene, which isn't a bad thing either. The last thing we want is to prevent people from coming back, new members or long term members, so let's just let bygones be bygones and move on.

Actually turned into the best bit of banter on here in a while. No harm in tempers getting raised over something many are obviously passionate about.
Never see drifting in Ireland as all about the competitive side, although kudos to those who put everything they have into doing it.
Great to see some fresh road cars about, hope the boats fill up with them again. Personally haven't been on track for skids in over a year due to life being all busy when you grow old a bit. Won't stop me hitting Mondello again, being intimidated and in awe of drivers less than half my age
