    Default My R33 Skyline

So after looking for a 180sx and being fucked about all week over one up the country, I decided to view an R33 that was for sale locally. Gave him a buzz, test drove it and checked it out and was happy out with it so bought it. Its a 2 door GTS25 so a 2.5L non turbo model. I really wanted to go turbo this time but at the price I got this car for I couldn't resist. She's got plenty of poke and she's 4 stud so the 3 piece works I bought earlier in the week will fit her. The car was absolutely manky when I got it so myself and Dil off here spent a couple of hours cleaning her inside and out.

First thing we did was remove the grill, then we took off the rear spoiler. Way nicer car without the picnic table on the back! We weren't able to fit the wheels because the shite tenzo r wheels that are on it have retared wheel nuts on them. They look like a large torx bit would fit them but 55 is too small and 60 is too big so I must take a trip to the motor factors tomorrow and see can I get something to whip them off with.

    Immediate plans:
    -Fit the wheels
-Get and fit coilovers, drop it on its fat hole!
-Polish up the headlights as they are looking very yellow
-Get and fit a lip spolier to match the boot to the quarter panels
    -Deep dish steering wheel
-Hopefully get a recaro or a bride for it as well.
-I must also fix the front speakers as they are not working at all
    -General tidy up

I can't wait to get stuck into something Jap again, the BMW scene was not for me! Pics to follow as it's too dark at the moment.

There is a fair pull from the rb25. She's a bit sluggish to get going but once the revs climb at all she's off! Not putting any performance parts into this car though, sticking with making it look as cool as possible an a tight budget.

If anyone has any of the bits listed above let me know.

So here she is with the Works LS105 3 piece rims fitted. Had a busy morning sorting out a key for the silly wheels that were on it.

    Coilovers are badly needed!

Fitted my razo glitter green gear knob as well for the first jdm interior touch and restored the headlights. Also fitted a square plate on the front. Must order proper pressed plates ASAP. Can't wait until she's scrapping the floor!

Lovely 33, colour and wheels are a good combo. Standard kit with front lip lowered and no boot spoiler and a nice subtle roof spoiler would look cool

Yup sold it in June to a girl from Donegal, friend of Dori88 on here. Had an e46 for about a month and hated it so picked this up instead.

Going arch rolling later on today in preparation for mega lows. I've since fully restored the headlights, removed the rear wiper (must get a gromit for it) and removed all the boot spoiler clips. I'm lucky duct tape is the same colour as the car, you'd hardly notice the hole cover ups ha! Still a serious stink for the inside so I need to whip out the seats and get them shampooed. Other than that I'm just enjoyng how smooth an engine the rb25 is. Is it normal for the temp gauge to take a good 10-15 mins to come upto halfway on the gauge?

Bit of an update on this.

She currently has a sheet of plastic as a rear windscreen after it shattered on me going over a level crossing near my house. Gutting to say the least, but Slithertooth has sorted me out with a 2nd hand screen and Liberty have agreed to pay for everything, the screen, pickup and transport from Meath, and installation. It was that or wait 6-9 weeks for a new screen from Japan from Nissan at €800 :O, that simply was not an option for me.

I have these bad boys on the way from Japan off auctions, ordered through Jesse Streeter. Again this man is a legend!

They should be here by the end of next week or that so as soon as they arrive she is being dropped on her hole. I've the arches rolled in preperation for that.

I also fixed the leak in my boot by re-sealing the joint between the quarter panel and the boot frame. I've treated all the rust in the boot also and given her a coat of black paint so shes looking a nice bit fresher in there. I used a rust primer on the underside of the boot floor and given her a coat of underseal so that should hopefully stop it from getting any worse. I must check tomorrow and see if there is a leak around the lights because this is another common area for it to occur.

I'd fecking love it! Pity tis so far away from me. Why is there no nice bits near Kerry!

I also seriously want this lip spoiler. http://page18.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...ion/w109337818
29,800 Yen which is around €220 plus the shipping and fees on top of that! Tis a bit on the dear side.

Would you know of anyone that has a boot lip spoiler for an R33?
