so after about 24 man hours, engine out, box out, petrol tank off. Subframe will be out monday or tuesday when we get to work on car again. and cars on its side to start prepping underneath for cleaning and undersealing and all that good stuff. Pleasantly surprised by condition of underneath actually.
All donations wd40, sanding discs etc greatly appreciated

Right, subframes both front and rear are off and have been cleaned, wire brushed back and painted. Front crash bar has gotten same treatment.

All callipers are off for cleaning and painting (not sure on colour yet but will be same colour as engine pipework- looking to be red or blue. Cant find pink :-P )

Welder is coming early next week to cut and weld some bits and pieces then she's ready for underseal. Must make friends in Toyota too, going getting oem brake and fuel lines for peace of mind.

Right donor car has arrived which has lowering springs which seem new :winning:
Drilled and grooved brakes are on was from America
Braided brake hoses dispatched
Oem fuel and brake lines ordered off Toyota
Droplinks are on way too

postman starting to dislike me now, drilled and grooved brake discs, brake pads, fuel filter, and exhaust heat wrap arrived today

Donor car arrived into the shed finally last night,

Swopped new lowering spring and shocks from this onto the subframe road supra,

Took interior out road supra prepping it for welding undersealing painting etc. Had nasty shock pulling off back seat and discovering asbestos sound deadening. Had quick run for face mask then.
subframes are nearly ready be bolted back to car once its undersealed

So springs for the handbrake shoes have arrived and rear poly bushings. (was sent 2 front sets originally)
Welding is being finished next weekend and then subframe going back on and she's going back onto 4 wheels.

Right tank straps are discontinued by Toyota, would celicas or old e10 tanks be a similar size

busy day today.
Handbrake shoes fitted which really tested gticorollas patience with the small springs


Stripped bad engine of useful parts- RC Injectors, fuel pressure regulator, water pump,alternator, starter etc. (always handy have spares)


Got front subframe back on the car really happy with the blue against the black
