doubt there would be too much interest on here but said i might as well stick it up anyway.
i was planning on keeping it hidden in the workshop until i found the time to get it back to minty mint but looks like the funds just are not there to finish it.
Year: 1983
Model: 316 ( m20b25)
Mileage: 57000 on the car
NCT: n/A
Tax: vintage €56 euro per year
Location: mallow co. cork
Full Description:
basically i picked this up a while back and was planning on using it as a daily for the few months of the year that i'm in ireland.
its an 83 2 door chromie in beige (not bronzit, its a slightly darker colour. i'll check the turret when i'm at it tomorrow).
the bad bits:
overall the shell is very solid, no rust on the inner arches, scuttle, no sunroof to worry about. however, years of having tec 1 sideskirts fitted means the sills are a little worse for wear. there is also surface rust on the front valance where a previous owner sanded it and never painted it after. the shell also has lacquer peel in places.
the engine is an m20b25 from a facelift. i was planning on doing a motronic 1.3 conversion on it to get it running, but again funds and time constraints means it remains unfunished.
now the good bits:
the rest of the shell is rust free.
brown glass
uncracked dash
51mm front struts and 325i vented discs and calipers
disc rear axle
koni shocks and springs all round
chrome bumpers are all straight and complete, but could do with a polish.
medium case diff ( untested ratio)
15" bbs cross spokes with kumho front tyres
goodridge braided lines (brake and clutch)
price: just to keep the mods happy lets say €2000 but in reality i'm looking for offers on it.
pics:
True poverty spec, not even a radio from the factory.
will give it a wash and put fresher, more detailed pics up when i get a chance.
