Kouki 180sx drivers window problem

Well lads, had the NCT on the car last week, failed on a few bits including the drivers side window not working. was at it last night and got it working. So i had the door card off and plugged the switch panel in and the window worked perfectly. I put back on the door card and plugged the switch back in and there was a buzz and a click and the switch wouldnt work when i tried it. That was very odd as it was working perfectly minutes before. Stripped the door card back off and tried a mates switch and it worked perfectly. Again back on with the door card and plugged his back in and the exact same thing happened. a buzz and a click and wouldnt work. We tried both of them in his car and they wouldnt work either. It seems as if its blowing the switchs. Anyone ever come across this before?

I not too sure now but could it be that the doorcard is squeezing the cable/switch somehow and therefore stops it from fully working?
If you don't bother, NCT won't fail you on missing doorcards
