    Default sr2o allergic to boost

    just trying to sort out the only problem with my 180 shes a blacktop non vvl engine the problem is the car ticks over and drives fine out of boost but as soon as she comes into boost it just bogs down and starts missin like a hure then let off and give it light throttle out of boost again and its fine until boost come in..the engine is stock just airfilter/dumpvalve..i took the pipe off the dumpvalve and bunged it made 0 differenc checked the plugs they look fine only new actually there bosch platinum..checked all intercooler(stock) piping no leaks or slits anywhere any ideas???? maybe afm???

    i had a very simialr problem with mine man, it was a t-piece i has joining to vacume line one side of that became unblocked and was sucking too much air, so id say check all your boost pipes that go to your boost gauge if you hav one and check all your pipes to the dumpvalve and to your boost solenoid and make sure there is no leaks at all, i wouldnt say it anything serious, definetly just a leaky pipe id say

    I'd be checkin the fuel pump
    and even if the plugs look good they may still not be right, id throw in a new set

    if none the above work. try checkin the lamda sensor, oxygen sensor on the exhaust. Friend of mine had problem like that wit his 180 eventually found out it was that sensor

    my 180 done the same thinmg and it was the afm cudnt read wen engine was boosting

    check the pipe thats going into the air filter..
    we'd this prob with pauls car and got a new one and job done..
    it was when you went on boost the pipe was staying closed and not realising...
    its the one beside the manifold...

    check all your boost pipes... i repaired a s14 that had simular simtoms... one of the samcos was split and opened up completely when boost was applyed...

    cheers for the help lads iv gone through most nearly all the pipework and i think the problem is leaning towards 02 sensor,afm or fuel pump..

    If its at full throttle its no the O2 sensor.

    I can stick it on the dyno for you and tell you whats wrong is 20 mins.
