Default My 32 GTS-T from start to present

think its about time i stuck one of these up - haven updated in a long time so i said id do a new one from start to present

k, well picked this baby up at the end of january 08 for a str8 swap on a 97 GTI Almera, 91 R32 GTST Type M so was well happy wit the swap 108k on the clock when i picked it up and was only driven every sunday so was in gud nick. the only problem with the car was that the clutch had to be fixed. this is wat it looked like when i picked it up.

spec was when pickin it up

    catback exhaust system
    hks ssqv
    hks mushroom filter
    17" wolfrace wheels
    GTR spoiler

so myself and mick drove it back from kilkenny to dublin at 3 in the mornin and no surprise with the way the car looked we got sum eyeballs from guards the whole way back ha ha. 5am in tesco led us to stripping the decals off and sum very sore fingers afterwards :shakehead:

so off to get the new clutch, picked up an excedy clutch off richie in proparts, on the way to get it fitted the clutch gave up the ghost and had to get towed to diff06's shed in bray.

a week later the pivot pin snapped on me, resulting in the slave cylinder kindly shitting itself...so ordered a new pin from driftworks and s14a slave cylinder from nissan doctor and bobs ur uncle all sorted again

so time going by, doing the odd bits here and there, replacing bulbs in the dash, new radio all that usual crap, replaced the hks mushroom filter wit an apexi power intake. got the car fully limo tinted and a nice pager alarm to keep d car safe :P rear speakers had to come out cuz they were crap so Biker helped me out by taking apart the back of my car to get a set of Vibe speakers installed.

then i purchased micks old wheels, put them on and made a serious difference to the car

then at a skyline rolling road day in CDA in 08, car went up on the rollers and made a pityful 155bhp :cya:

this was down to the fuel pump being knackered so i was told, so upgraded to a walbro there and then with the help of everyone there, got it in and put it back up on the rollers and made 184 bhp

i was then told that id need a new fuel pressure regulator which i then purchased a sard fuel pressure reg. on fitting it wit James Gilsenen we discovered a serious boost leak which added seriously to the problems. so got all that sorted and it was back to runnin standard power again

Then the Driftworks coilpacks went in and got myself a nice carbon bonnet thanks to robbie in icetronix.

heres a pic when pickin up the vertex bumper

    front bumper fitted

brought the car down to Nissan Doctor and got my exhaust system sorted out

got the downpipe off himself and brought down my elbow and decat

so took everything out and in with the elbow

    then the downpipe

    and then finally the decat

and it sounded unreal, made a major difference to power and noise

i was gettin real bored with the standard seats so i picked up a set of cream leather s14a seats off sweeney in hotmetal.ie

Next to arrive in was my HEL braided brake lines. The crystal clear corner lights came in the same time too so put them on up at micks when collecting the brake lines off him.

Alot of parts arrived in and then alot of parts got sold off so the next addition to the car was the Hicas Lock Out Bar

so that went in and nothin really had happened since then until july 09, after a few months of scratches and cracks in the bumper and gettin annoyed with the paint i decided to take it off the road when the tax expired. i picked up a run around and took the car off the road 2 weeks early to try and save on juice.

i had orginally played wit the idea of a Bee*r324 kit, ended up gettin the kit for a good price, but then decided to go another way and sold the kit. i also sold the carbon bonnet and the buddyclub wheels along with the clear corner indicators and rear bumper and spats. so then i purchased a kit from a polish based company called JDL. this consists of front bumper, wings, sideskirts, rear bumper and spoilers. pics of this will be up when the car is complete

a month or 2 later i picked up a set of HKS Hipermax D coilovers off git.

Thanks to Bren in East Coast Alloys i got an extremely good deal on a set of 18" Ultralite Twin 5's - picked them up just after Xmas.

i then got a good deal on a set of rb20 550cc sard injectors that will be going in when i get the new tubby

i also upgraded the brakes to 33 grooved discs and callipers new beside the old

car up on the lift gettin the brakes fitted

the car made a lengthy stay up in Nissan Doctors again where the power steering pump was replaced due to it failing on me 7 months before it went off the road along with the brakes. a lower wishbone also had to be replaced due to an incident in the snow of Jan 09 engine was checked over to make sure it was runnin right too. also while it was up in Pauls, most engine parts were taken off and all was brought up with the wheels to Barelle Ltd to get powdercoated the coilovers were also put in for me then aswell.

before it went up to Paul i stripped most of the dash out to be sent over to a place called Carbon Aesthetics to get sum of the dash parts done up in carbon, this is one part that was done for me

now with all of them back on, the car had to be moved up to Castleblayney to the bodyshop where the work is currently being done now. got part worns and got them onto the wheels, a lil stretching had to be done due to 215/35/18s being the only part worns available and i was really stuck so just went wit it :P

got about 25 mins from pauls place and then this happened ha ha

so had to it towed the rest of the way ha ha

After moving it up there i got a great deal on 50mm rear GTR overfenders, i picked them up and dropped it up and then in the last few weeks i got great deals on GTR wings and indicators so they are currently waiting to go up, just waiting on the indicators from tom in japan and have to get spacers up in East Coast Alloys too so the fitting of the kit can be done and a full respray. i should have the car back in the next few weeks and then ill have pics up for everyone after that its heading up to Duncan in DA Autostore for audio and more security and then off to TDP for sum engine work Also got a good deal off Kev in 32tuning for a Mishimoto Rad, thats waiting to go in now along with the rest of the stuff. and before anyone asks, no, im not going with a different engine, im keepin her RB20DET but going for a good bit of power, all that will be revealed in the coming months

    quick update

well i wont have it back for the end of may, bodywork has become alot more complicated than originally thought, just had to buy a GTR fuel flap there cuz the gtst one doesnt fill the space for the overfender so thats being sent over asap.....so due to the complication of the kit and bodywork and it not fitting properly and having to be cut and shut to make it fit its costing a lil extra more so it will be back at d end of june now according to the guy doing the work who did Micks 33 and Crazy Al's Celica, its alot more work than crazy al's celica.....now thats ALOT ha ha

but on the upside, this has been finished in the UK, cant wait to get it put in shud look nice and tasty

going up next friday to check it out and c the work done so far and to pick out the shade of colour its guna be sprayed
