Mazda RX7 Fd3 New Build*

Alright lads. picked up an rx7 fd3 full rolling shell a few weeks ago off rick weldon on here. planing on doing a bit of work on it over the next while.

originally planned on putting a 1jz in to it...but not a whole pile of info about 1jz conversions around.
would like to drop a 13b or 20b and looking into 1uz into it too. but im still un decided yet.

will get cracking on body work and interior until i am 100% set on an engine for her.
plans for body are:
Sexy style aero bumper or 99spec oem bumper
standard oem back bumper with diffuser
18x10.5 white work emotion xd-9s

long build...but have a few ideas in line for it. BGW FTW. cant wait to get a look at those wings.

thanks man. yeah...liking the BGW idea. always been a fan of them. PeterT is in the process of making a few so im gonna hold out and get a look at them.

I know the last 4 owners of the skyline it's a grand car nearly bought it myself bout 2 months ago but hadn't the cash. There is a metal head gasket and new valve stem oil seals and all the valves reground and the screamer elbo and rad about 4000 miles before you got it I'd say. The nardi was on it dunno why he took it off ha 20mm spacers all round aswell I think. Best of luck with it anyways lad and the rx7 too.

thanks lads.....slow process, but 3 cars is eating up my funds every week. has got to the point i wanted to sell all i had and give up. i had a crazy notion to sell the rx7 a few weeks ago. but i came back to reality and kept it. thanks for the info on the skyline tomsheen, it genuinly has a good engine in it, shell not so good tho. the lad i boght it off was sound as a pound too. corect has autobahn spacers all round.

Ya Steve's sound out he's busy out with work so he barely drove it over the year he had it. timing belt and waterpump done with all that too. Keep up the good work anyways lad glad ya didn't sell up.

Fucking hell I love this thread, always plenty to read. Nice find with the extras in the Skyline, RX7 is going to be fantastic when finished
