My gearbox developed a bit of a whine so I sent her off to get checked and it turns out it was on its way out. So I've got a reconditioned box and a nearly new exedy twin plate getting fitted now.

    New box in

Carrier bearing is done too so that's getting done also.

Yea it was in chambers performance. Few more bits to do, recondition steering rack and some new suspension bits. Hopefully get it out driving then, maybe get an autoheros day in!

Bit closer to being on the road, steering rack is back from getting reconditioned, took a while as seals were hard to find for it (story of the car's life). Carrier bearing is done also

Also picked up a set of uk spec supra 550 injectors

She was missing a bit under boost so new plugs were got also

A bit of a boring update but important work done nonetheless. Hoping to have her out and about soon.

Trucking away with this still, ecu decided to fry itself which is a common problem with them so I done some research and found that it's possible to change them to a jzx90 ecu and so eliminating the problem. I had the ecu from my old 90 so all I needed was the plugs to fit my loom and get the 90 ecu re pinned to suit. After a bit of searching, i found got a harness from garage d that will complete the conversion

I've also picked up a a set of DMAC 86 arms in the hope that they will fit, done a fair bit of research on it, no concrete answers but they look to be the same. Coupled with the new JIC tie rods and ends that means the front is completely new.

Some of the you may have seen it on Facebook but the guys over in Scotland, Minty Fresh have released a range of rear arms for most x body's and altezzas etc... They're made by Russian guys who drift these chassis and are meant to be good quality and strong.

So now it's get the ecu in and hope everything works ok and get arms fitted and get an alignment done. Had hoped to have it at Autoheroes on Monday but it's not looking likely now.

Turns out the ae86 arms won't work after all. The lower arms are too short, when adjusted out to the max they will only give stock camber settings plus the mounting holes for the tension arms are different.

So I came across these local and got them fairly reasonable considering the lcas are €800 alone from Japan.

Yanack lca's, tension rods and uprated rack mounts.

Also picked up some new wheels also, will wait to get them on and have her sitting properly for photos.

Also she has been mapped, put the ecu out of my old 90 in with a custom harness so everything works as it should and it's running a hks f con pro to make sure it's fuelling ok. It made 280ish bhp at flywheel which without a front mount etc isn't too bad I think. I'll be driving it for the summer and then over the winter it will get front mount and full custom exhaust system to allow it to be ran properly low.
