Refresh on a budget :D

Have meant to stick this up for ages now but havent been bored enough...lol
In december 2012 i got major operations on me eyes and could do feck all for a few months after it..
Mavis me aul S14a drift bitch was really getting very tatty showing plenty of signs of time spent round bishopscourt and mondello... so what better way to kill my time than give her a wee over haul..
Id never attempted anything like this before but sure fuck it, im hardly gonna burn the place down
and its bound to pass a bit of time...lol

this was her at the start of 2012..



and at the end...







So after deciding what was staying and what was going out came the sand paper and screwdrivers..





Next i sent her off to Chris Burnett to beef up the front end and reorganise the cooling situation..
everything drops off with pretty much 6 bolts and 2 jubalee clips now.



He also made up a crash bar and jacking point for the rear..



After another rub down it was now time for some paint. i wanted to go matte green so went with one of the old land rover greens..





I found an outfit on ebay selling a set of 20mm vented wings at grand money so went ahead with them..
upon delivery there were dodgy to say the least and after talking with the seller he agreed they were shit and not worth the money and issued a full refund.. he also said to keep them because it would be too expensive to return them... WIN!!
all of a sudden they got fixed and turned out grand... free 99

Then Painted it all up and started some reassembly..







Got a Japspeed BGW with the money i saved from the front wings..





So then its just a matter of getting the front end on, giving the wheels a lick of gloss black and im done...ish













all in all i changed the colour, the front end added a BGW, new boot lid, passo door and mirrors for less than £1,000... granted it probably looks like i only spent a grand but it'll do for goin back to the track..

Good stuff! Only think id change really is id take the bonnet spacers out, looks crashed and its pointless, but thats just me being a picky feck!

ive always been a believer in function first form second..
so the first stripe on the car was to cover some big ass scratches
and the spacers are there to get the bonnet over the turbo and sayin i have to use them they may aswell be pretty..lol
