Im running soft compound kumho rally tyres i bought them part worn and jesus the car was completely different up front i could transition faster and get more reaction from the steering wheel. Only downside is the soft compound wears away fairly quick if your heating them up or have enough camber. So like the lads said medium compound will do you perfect.

if you wanted to keep the money down as much as possible, look for people selling part worn rally tyres. Plenty of lads taking them off the front of mk2 escorts and saying there useless when there completely fine!
