Numpty s14 down pipe question

Sorry for the numpty question... But... When you buy a down pipe off the likes of japspeed... Does that do away with the cat or do you need to buy a decat aswell??

Also... Are the downpipes with the flexi joint better than the solid pipe, less prone to cracking etc etc

ull still need a decat . and ye the flexi ones put less stees on your manifold etc

I have one of these and there's a kind of silencer box where the decat usually goes, Fairly good fit apart from the gearbox mounting point didn't line up but the rest of the exhaust hangers sort that

i had one before a hks one that had the decat an all in it, but most are only downpipe so u need a de cat too, ones with flexi are defo better !!

If ur not gonna be takin a cat in an out for nct test man id buy an extended down pipe ideal for a track car less joints in the exhaust less problems
