    Default 180sx engine

    wel lads i put a new engine in my 180sx and its sitin at 2 and a half on the revs even when its hot.the cable is grand look at that all ready.any help thanks.......

    check your inlet manifold gasket. spray some component or contact cleaner around it if the revs lift more then thats your problem. or just adjust your idle speed screw (but im asuming youv already tryed tha)

    well lad did ya check the idle control valve?

    did ya move it before you put in d engine?

    check inlet manifold for leaks.

    Whats it idle at when cold? most likely idle control valve, have you your old one or anything put on wrong or not connected in that region? (start of intake plenum)

    Hello,
    The name 180SX was originally in reference to the 1.8 liter displacement CA18DET engine used in the chassis.however, the engine was upgraded to a 2.0 liter model, offered in two forms: the naturally aspirated SR20DE engine and the turbocharged SR20DET variant. Although the new engine was of larger displacement, the 180SX nomenclature remained.
