    Default 180sx road build

Well a few months ago a shell came up for sale on here and ended up somehow owning it?? i hadnt anticipated owning a road s-body for a good few years yet but this was too good to pass up this is her as i bought her http://<a href="http://s1358.photobu...pse751937e.jpghttp://i1358.photobucket.com/albums/q766/James_Kiely/IMG_0173_zpse751937e.jpg[/url]

the shell was really really straight not a spot of filler and the paint is good on it.
so i got her home and had a kouki fiberglass back lip so placed that on to look at it

the front legs had alot of surface rust and grit on them from sitting out

so i sanded them back to bear metal, rust primed and sprayed them up

i also sanded down the rear panel behind the lights because i felt it was a bit grubby and sprayed that back up

i also compounded the back bumper and was amazed at how well it came up i thought it was foooked but it came up perfect

and i had my old boot lid off the drift car so put that on

i then picked up one kouki light and centre panel ( had one here already ) which reeeeeally tidied up the back end

i borrowed a pair of rear hubs off one of the lads so id have her rolling to get her off the transporter so slapped on a pair of my ssr meshes

i then picked up a looad of bits and pieces for the drift car and this road one off rory (slithertooth)

and in this lot i got a pair of headlights which were in bad need of a bit of cleaning
the old ones on the right, new on the left
amazing what a bit of thinners and compound does
i took off both surrounds because as you can see in the pic above, one had a hole in it and wanted to lube up everything and clean it all up so sanded them both down and started fiberglassing that hole

even the good surround had a few little gouges into it

so idecided to be proper anal about it and said id fill them

and being even more anal i sprayed all the screws holding in the surrounds

well thats all i have now because i have to start knuckling down to the leaving cert
but ive put up another thread looking for colour/ styling suggestions so fell free to give any input in there or in here and i should hopefully have a few more updates soon

this is exactly what i would love to do. you can say your ''anal'' but every little touch makes a car. you might aswell put stands under it and seal underneath it now. keep a good shell a good shell if you know what i mean. keep us updated im interested to see how this goes
