Default The RX7 2nd time around

So I bought this RX7 in november 2011 with the water seals gone,. decided i'd like a project for over the christmas and always wanted an RX7 so thought now was the time. Got it back to the house and sat it up waiting to get the engine out. This is how it looked

So got up one sunday morning hangover free and set into pulling the engine out to get it down to eddy doyle to get built

Couple of hours later this was the end result

and strapped up and ready to go

So left the engine down with Eddy doyle on the Sunday and got a call about a week later to tell me that the water seals went pretty bad and knackered the two housings also and that the only things left perfect were the rotors. The guy before me had obviously driven it on hard when the seals were on there way out.

So after chatting to eddy decided to give the go ahead on all brand new bits along with a new wxcedy stage 2 clutch also. So a couple of weeks passed and one Tuesday afternoon got the call to say that the engine was ready for collection
So the following Saturday/Sunday collected the engine and fit it back in, absolute pain in the hole doing it on a driveway with a hill but got it in and fired up on the Sunday, ticking over at 900rpm as it should

and this was the end result

    .
Next to get done was the diff and gearbox oil, made myself up a bottle to fill it the box and diff (whcih was probably one of the worst things I have ever made as it took a total of 4 hours to fill the box and the diff and also a crippled hand)

So once that was done it was run in mileage which was 1500km got that done in about 2 weeks dropped the oil and it was good to go, Power was unreal, really performed well and sounded amazing .
I then done the unthinklable after I was given a company car I decided to sell up and just focus on saving a few quid for a while (big mistake 2 weeks later regretted my decision and was back out on the look for something). Bought a skyline for a while sold that on just after christmas and again was on the look for something, my old RX7 came up then a few weeks ago and had to go look at it. decided on a deal and drove it away - It's absolutely flying and im delighted to be back in it. Had forgotten how quick it really was.heres how it sits now

Spec as it stands is as follows

    13B REW TT
Fully rebuilt Jan 2012(covered 2000KM since Run in)
Apexi PFC Mapped for irish fuel
NON - Sequential turbo setup having both engaging at 4000rpm
    Exceddy stage 2 clutch
Kakimoto exhaust with cat still fitted
    Greddy Intercooler
    Japspeed alu rad

and thats basically it its fairly standard. Plans over the next few months are
    new pads and discs
    new tyres all round
    solid diff bushings
and a possibly a new map to squeeze a bit more out of it

    Cheer's man,

No power figures, ill hopefully have it up on adyno soon to see but i'd imagine 300ish if I had to hazard a guess, its fairly lively with the non sequential setup, can be a bit hairy at moments when driving hard on back roads

    Cheers lads,
Yea I love it , it's coming together nicely now took the spoiler and wing off going to lower now and change the wheels. Splitter came off in a not so carefull manner as a result of me catching it on a roundabout :/

Here's a picture of it without the spoiler as it sits now
