Default Bent Spoke Work Equip Refurb

Just finished up a set of bent spoke Equips for MayoS14 on here aka Mike.

So this is what they looked like to start with, the centres are plastic dipped and the lip were ruined in chips and curb rash :

    Split them down :

    Labelled to keep track :

As you can see there was alot of corrison at the rear :

Before and after from the rear :

Had the centres sand blasted :

Machine sanded them all down :

Let the hand sanding begin :

Finally it came to polishing :

    Masked up for painting :

Last but not least, done, no more polishing for the rest of the year :

Great work man, you painted the part near the nuts? or just the rear of them and polished all the front.

Thanks folks, took an absolute age, there was just so much to do with them, many evenings after work spent here. I used 4 different types of compounds, a cutting compound, cut/ stage 1 polish, mirror polish and then a paste compound to finish / remove any left over compound. Wont be doing anymore polishing for a while, have to do a set of sideskirts for a girl in cork and then a bonnet for a boy in Limerick and it'll be time to tip away on the RX8 getting all the many panels sorted before primer/paint.
