    Default Wheel refurb Quick guide

Anybody with dull wheels that should be almost mirror polished or painted wheels that are all nasty an tatty looking here you go..

1.Dull polished rims- 1st off find out if there laquered or not, youll know this if theres what seems to be clear paint pealed or peeling off in areas.

Once youv figuered that out youll know wether you have to remove it or not as to re-polish the rims you will.To remove it use NitroMors paint stripper(this is perfectly fine to use despite what some reviews say

If you have non-laquered rims just continue from here.. Get your self a good go of sand paper from 250-300 to 1200-1250 an 2 or 3 ranges between.

Start with the lowest grit you have first, youl want to use ALOT , loads of water! Up until 1200-1250grit with loads of water! when the surface is now all smooth SMOOTH being key here not shiney and polished..This is when you know you are ready for polishing best polish i found is Autosol obviously if your big into it there more expensive polishes and tools for polishing but this is handy.
I just found this realy good video..

If you rims are painted always take em down to steel before applying more paint heres a nice guide on ADVAN A3A's..

Another handy tip is to put your car on stands with the wheel you want to refurb on the drive and let the car spin the wheel on idle for you! you can always put in gear then also but be positive the car is stable!!!! this works best with no tire and no valve cap ALWAYS LET THE WHEELS SPIN AWAY FROM YOUR FINGERS RATHER THAN TOWARD this is vital!
