    Default The 90sx!! Pic heavy

Well as a few may know already I've been building a 180 for track use it wasn't intended for track but I think it was the right decision.

So I got the car which I swapped for a golf I had but could'nt live with
    it came as this

    [IMG][/IMG]
standard enough, coilovers, frontmount the usual .

So the plan was road car as I already had drift car but multiple phonecalls
off Colm Murray to inform me that he had already organised a man to put in a weld in cage even though I was still saying it would be a road car and a night full of jack daniels later I decided to put my 14 up for sale

So it literally took a few hours and I had a deposit in my hand so the project was given the go ahead

So I said Id start stripping

    couple of hours later
    [IMG][/IMG]

    Decided Id strip the loom
    [IMG][/IMG]

Then about an hour later threw the loom in the bin and decided to make my own loom
    [IMG][/IMG]

Then the dreaded sound deadening this took about two days chiseling and rubbing down with petrol my god it was a pain but the results were good and the amount of weightt is pretty crazy
    [IMG][/IMG]

So then time for some weight loss and get the car ready for cage so invited two of the lads up and gave Murray the grinder with a few discs didnt see him for about two hours behind all the sparks got the doors off windscreen out wings off as stripped as we could get it for cage

So the car went for cage to Paul Cusack in Castletownroche, collected it a few days later and was very very pleased just wanted a straight forward cage as tight to the pillars and roof as possible didn't think it would be possible to get as close as he did though check out the welds to roof front and back and A pillars

Now the real work started courtesy of the man who convinced me to start this in the first place who is also responsible for this :

    [IMG][/IMG]

So you can see now why it was easy for him to sway me into building a track car!!!
The next two weeks were going to be pretty hectic and with Murray only working on the car after work and weekends I think its pretty impressive what has been done!

The aim was to have it ready for 24th Feb which seemed unrealistic but the end is in sight now!

So dropped it to Murrays garage I think of a Thurs night two weeks ago

Had in the meantime picked up some 4 of these
    [IMG][/IMG]

And painted up a 14 subframe and skyline wishbones
    [IMG][/IMG]

Got them bolted up and also had a full R33 brake setup which went on

then grinder out again and fabricate a new place to put the shiny tank

So he attached the bosch 044 and got the front brakes working and it was my turn to do some work to the car the inside painting and outside painting which I had two days basically to do which would have been last Thursday

    scotch scotch hoover hoover
    [IMG][/IMG]

2.5 hours straight painting later, remember this is my third time lifting a spray gun I'm far from an expert but I'm very happy with results
