no lad not one bit laggy at all,there maybe 200-300 rpm earlier on full boost,nothing a clutch kick cant sortbut the 2871 dont pull out top end like the gt30,and youve so much trottle response with the gt30 as it come in so quick.ive driven alot of drift cars with both turbos and once you drive a car with a gt30 you will never go back to anything else trust me on that
the 2871 would sell in uk very quick so my advice is sell it and go GT30 i promise you will not regret it

If youve got a gt3071 of some sort spooling faster than a gt2871r then fair fucks. Did the 2871r have a larger a/r like the .86 or 1.12? Was it the same exhaust manifold set up? both top or bottom mount?

My turbo is basically at gt3071r with a different exhaust housing and its definatly laggy compaired to any 2871 with a reasonable a/r
