    Default cefiro chargeing/running problem HELP!!!

    Right lads looking for a bit off help...i bought eh cefiro around a week ago..the day i got it there was a problem with the indicators they would stick on and not flash then the day after when i turned the car off the passenger side head light would stay on..not a big deal i presumed maybe a dodgey switch or something and i was gonna go at it the weekend..so in the mean time i was disconnecting the battery 2 stop the battery from draing..i was doing this for a bout 2 nights then i was puling out off the garage the oter night drove down the road and the car started breaking down then cut out..turn the key back on again and there was fuck all power in the battery lights were dim on the dash and she wouldnt turn over so i got jump leads put them on she she started but the minute i would take the jump leads off she would die had a poke around couldnt see nothing wrong so i presumed alternator..so i changed that today for another one...now when i put the leads on it 2 start it today when i was putting on the last lead it was sparking crazy like they were on wrong but there werent obviously..that stoped but now i have now dash lights or fogs..fuses blow i presume why did it start doing that?...now the car is still the same the minute i take the leads off it dies..there is no charge light on the dash..so im puzzeled on this one...anyone shed some light on wat it might be?i need this going for over the xmas so any help is much apricated thanks!!

    My girlfriends Saxo was at the same kind of thing, and it turned out that a wire that runs from the alternator to the battery had pulled out of the alternator which led to the car running on the battery until it died.

    you ave a short somewhere prob someting fairly big!! but id say a short for deffo

    no no simple prob but on a power cable that either doesnt ave a fuse or one with a very large fuse that hasen't blowen!!

    oh right well that helps...an if its on a power cabel that doesnt have a fuse or one that has a fuse or hasnt blowen what would be a common problem off a short????i take it thats not the cause off all my problems ie the indicators and the headlight ect....

    Checkall your earths and positive connections from your battery...sounds like a bad connection...
