Hope they don't go too mad with the roll cage rules, says main hoop needs to be 45x2.5, id say more than half the cars in Ireland have the full cage made of 43mil OD pipe cus its all that's available in local hardwares.

Get some 44.6mm stuff and a good coat of primer and paint and it'll be mint

Front legs that bend around the dash (dash dodgers) are not permitted.
Looks like there's going to be more drama if dash-dodgers are permitted again?

All main hoops regardless of material should be constructed from 45x2.5mm or 50x2mm tube minimum.A-pillar bars, door bars, rear stay bars and all additional diagonal and brace bars must be constructed of 38x2.5mm or 42x2mm.
I'm guessing it should have "at least" for the measurements of the main hoop and all other bar sizes?

Nice to see the rules out reasonably early anyway

Using tube that exceeds minimum specs is not a problem.

It also says the material must be seamless CDS or T45, all DIY rollcages will need proof of purchase for cage tubing to be logged.

Any cars that passed last years logging should be fine for 2013, the new cage and bulkhead rules are in a full year now so no excusses for building new cars outside the current specs!

If your car has its engine moved back it will need to be moved forward to meet the bulkhead rule introduced at the start of last year.

Is there a website for the IDC?
Have the event dates been released for 2013?
