    Default R32 daily driver project

    Right so i picked this up for the misses just over a week ago off stuey (cheers man). some of ye might recognize this as alan opel and dil both owned it aswell. plans are just to tidy it up test it and rock it coz i think its a pretty sorted motor

    spec list taken from the for sale add

    Just got:
    New gtr grill
    black bonnet (old one had holes for bonnet pins)
    two black wings (old were damaged from the wheels catching them)
    New 4" stainless steel cat-back exhaust (also have shotguns there that were on)
    New alcantara gear and handbrake gaiters
    Console carbon wrapped
    Jvc head unit

    Engine/drivetrain:
    Rb20det Very healthy engine absolutely no blow by and doesn't burn any oil
    Rb25 turbo
    Mines air filter
    Straight back from turbo
    3inch turbo elbow
    3inch downpipe
    De-cat
    Brand new stainless steel cat-back
    Big front mount intercooler
    Walbro fuel pump
    Apex I safc 2 (mapped)
    Adj actuator
    Upgraded master & slave cylinder
    New mishimoto 52mm alloy rad
    Excedy paddle clutch
    Excedy lightend flywheel
    2 way diff (very tight and not too clunky)
    New exhaust manifold, turbo gaskets and exhaust studs
    Timing belt and tensioner done 10k ago
    Running 1 bar mapped by west coast performance at 292bhp

    Suspension & brakes:
    Bc racing front coilovers (height, damper preload adjustable)
    Gab rear coilovers (height, damper preload adjustable)
    Tein front tension rods
    S14 lower arms with s13 balljoints
    Spacers on inner track rods
    S13 rear subframe with polybushed toe arms
    Hicas totally removed
    Bolt on spacers all round
    4 pot calipers

    Wheels, body and interior:
    Blitz type03 17x9 up front two new part worns
    Rota torque 18x9.5 on the rear with new part worns

    a quick pic before i started pullin it apart



    first off i pulled off the skirts and spats to check for rust and restick the spats coz they were fallin off. it turns out there bomex skirts and spats

    Sweet car man seen it in person when dil had it prity sorted car all u need to do is fine a splitter and ur sorted best of luck with it man

    rust wise no major worries a bit of surface rust here and there one hole under the battery tray that needed sorting. The paint has seen better days it will get a respray at some stage but is grand for now. there's a few bodge jobs that need sorting the ic pipeing was rubbing the engine and body and was almost worn through the ic is also rubbing the crash bar









    of coarse i forgot to take pics of the rest a couple of the job done





    its not perfect but its better than it was. i under sealed the inner wings while i was at it and sealed the inside of the wings aswell they were lookin a bit scabby

    cheers were happy with it i'm on the hunt for a splitter and a few other bits already.
    next up is get the skirts and spats back on and start gettin it ready for the nct hopefully it wont take much effort

    always loved this car . great to see it being tied'd up and kept on the road . must get a look at before april as im in athlone 5 days a week
