I've a set of Rota GTRs here 17x9 et30 all round.. they have 215/45 tyres on front and 225/45 on rear...
haven't tried rear fitment yet but from what I've read online they should fit with no arch modification, can someone confirm this..
the main issue I have is the front... basically with two 3mm slip on spacers they just sit on the coilover. So realistically I need a 10mm bolt on spacer to clear the coilovers comfortably and give me et20 offset? which from what I've read (on random sites) should fit on standard front arches? ? ?
Now the issue is that I'm using basic shitty Tein coilovers which use standard shock mounts meaning I can't get any camber - the way it sits now looks like it has slightly positive camber and the wheel is sitting about 1.5 (maybe more) inches out of the arch... it looks shit to be honest, I'll try and get pics in the morning..
How much will adjustable shock mounts give me? Will they give me enough camber to make it look decent? I assume camber arms won't help since they'll pull the wheel closer to the shock?
should I buy better coilovers, adjustable mounts (or both), or should I save myself the effort (and money) and get narrower front wheels?
In which case does anyone have a pair 17x8 GTRs they'll swap / part exchange for my wider 9s? Or does anyone have a pair for sale in 4x114 fitment ? ? ?
loads of questions I know but any input is much appreciated, head is wrecked an I want to sort this to get the car on the road.. cheers
