Default Standard of Pro Drifting in NZ

Just spent the last 20 mins watching this video of the season opener of the NZ drift championship.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=hbilOz5e90I

I'm in absolute amazement at the level of drifting over there! Not only the drivers, but the coverage it gets, the quality of builds and the amount of large sponsors on board in order to run the series over there.

Looks amazing, great crowds too. Fair enough, larger country I guess, more tracks etc but it might give people over here some food for thought.

ya way better set up der,if this country wasnt so caught up wit sports involving one ball besides the sports that need balls it would be better turn half of them unused water logged pitches into drift tracks

Yea cos you don't need any balls to put your head in where others wouldn put their foot? We don't have a vast selection of big tracks like over there because it's a small shitty country with way overpriced land and a corrupt government that you'd need to pay an arm and a leg to get permits passed to even have a track.

Great watch and some awesome cars and driving. Cool to see Shane Van Gisbergen givin it a go too. Must be said that although new Zealand is about 3 times the size of Ireland, it has a smaller population than us.
